Founder Profile

Alerise is founded by Tolu Coker, a product development and commercialisation specialist with nearly two decades of experience across food manufacturing, retail, and supplier environments.

I’ve spent my career working at the intersection of product innovation and commercial delivery leading product development, sourcing, and buying decisions across major UK food businesses. My background spans hands-on product and process development in food manufacturing, as well as senior buying and category leadership roles within retail.

Most recently, I led large scale, high value categories within retail, shaping long term growth strategies, negotiating with branded and own label suppliers, and delivering commercially viable product ranges in complex and fast-moving environments. Prior to this, I held senior product development and innovation roles within manufacturing, managing multi-project pipelines, leading cross functional teams, and taking products from early concept through to launch at scale.

This experience means I understand both sides of the equation how products are built, and how they need to perform commercially once they reach market. Through Alerise, I work directly with founders, manufacturers, and teams to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to product development and commercialisation decisions, helping ideas move forward with confidence and commercial sense.
